INTRODUCTION TO I PETER

Peter is writing to Christians far and wide and also to us today-as is the entire BIble-that Persecution for the Christian faith is normal. In Consumer, western societies today, where “political correctness” is the Devils’ workshop, we don’t see it or realize it as much, but it’s screaming against morales that were norm a generation ago

Peter says, especially in chapters 3 and 4,  if people think you;re crazy for being a Christian: that’s normal

Take great encouragement for this little epistle, from the one who betrayed our Lord in His hour of need.

INTRODUCTION TO JAMES

James is written by James the brother of Jesus, and written very
early among other New Testament books. A favourite of many as
it is a Christian letter written to the Jews: “to the 12 tribes scattered
abroad…”  as we see early in the book

This is an epistle with what some have suggested contains 60
commands of action within the short book of 105 verses

PHILEMON

Ed note.             This is one of the 4 single chapter books of the New testament
read it at your leisure with Titus

Ethical Dilemna:  Philemon was a householder and
his slave/worker was Onesimus who ran away. Paul
urges his brother in the faith to not be harsh on his
servant that he might be won to the faith, and Philemon
faithful to the Lord who saved him as well

Great letter for encouragement to ALWAYS do right
no matter the circumstances
